Data Deletion
How to request deletion of your data from SignalIQ
How to Request Deletion
- By email: Email privacy@brandconnectai.com from your account address, or use the "Request deletion" button in Settings, which opens a pre-filled email. Our privacy team first confirms the request comes from you, then schedules the deletion.
- From Facebook or Instagram: Removing SignalIQ from your Meta account sends us a deletion request automatically (see "Facebook / Instagram / Messenger Data" below).
- Disconnect a platform only: Go to Settings → click "Disconnect" on any connected platform. This immediately removes SignalIQ's stored access token and stops scanning for that platform. It does not, on its own, revoke the grant on the provider's side (see "Facebook / Instagram / Messenger Data" below for how to do that) and does not delete signals, messages, or classifications already derived from that account — request account deletion for that.
How Deletion Works
- Once your request is verified: your account is soft-deleted immediately — access and scanning stop at once — and we email you a link to cancel the deletion.
- 14-day grace period: until it ends you can cancel with that link or by contacting us, and your access is restored. We shorten the grace period only where the law requires it or the account was used for abuse.
- After the grace period: the permanent erasure starts automatically. Your personal information is erased, and every connected-platform token is deleted and, wherever the provider offers a way to do so, revoked with that provider (see below). If a step cannot finish on its own (for example, a provider's service is down), our team completes it, so it can take longer than 14 days.
- Confirmation: we email a confirmation to your verified address once the deletion is complete. If you do not receive it, write to us and we will confirm.
- Afterwards: we keep only a minimal audit record of the deletion request for 90 days to show we honoured it. It contains no message content.
Section 8 of our Privacy Policy is the authoritative description of this process.
What Gets Deleted
When the erasure is complete:
- Your account profile and sign-in identity are deleted
- All connected-platform access tokens are deleted
- All signal/lead records and AI classifications are deleted
- All deal pipeline data is deleted
- All AI-generated draft replies are deleted
- Usage metrics stored with your workspace are deleted
- Any active subscription is cancelled
Connected-Platform Access
- Revoked with the provider: Google (Gmail, YouTube), Meta (Facebook, WhatsApp), TikTok, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Discord. We call each provider's official revoke endpoint, so the access you granted SignalIQ is withdrawn on the provider's side too.
- Deleted only: GoHighLevel and Instagram (Instagram Login) offer no way for an app to revoke its own access. We delete the token, so SignalIQ can no longer use it. To remove SignalIQ on the provider's side, uninstall it in GoHighLevel (Marketplace → Installed apps) or follow the Instagram steps below.
What We Keep
Some records are kept longer for legal reasons:
- Invoices and payment history, held by Stripe for tax and financial-regulation purposes
- Records of failed-payment follow-ups, with your billing address removed, for up to 180 days after they close
- A do-not-email entry if your address is on our suppression list, so we never email you again
- Records of content takedowns and abuse reports, kept for legal claims and regulatory reporting (the content itself is deleted)
- A record with no personal information that marks your workspace as deleted, so its ID is never reused
Facebook / Instagram / Messenger Data
If you connected your Meta account (Facebook, Instagram, or Messenger), you can manage SignalIQ's access from your Meta account settings:
- Facebook: Go to Facebook → Settings → Apps and Websites → Find "SignalIQ" apps → Click Remove
- Instagram: Go to Instagram → Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → Remove SignalIQ's access
- From SignalIQ: Go to Settings → Integrations → Click "Disconnect" on Instagram or Facebook
- Disconnecting from SignalIQ immediately removes our stored OAuth token for that account, so we can no longer read or send through it; it does not by itself revoke the grant on Meta's side, which the steps above do
- Instagram DM and Messenger content already processed by SignalIQ is erased with the rest of your account data when your account is deleted, on the timeline above
- Meta's data-deletion callback: when you remove SignalIQ from Facebook or Instagram, Meta notifies us at
/api/privacy/meta-deletion. We verify Meta's signed request, record a deletion request, and return a confirmation code with a link to this page, where you can check the request's status for 90 days. Meta tells us only an app-specific ID that is not linked to your SignalIQ account, so our privacy team matches the request to your account (we may email you to confirm) before scheduling the deletion. From then on it follows the same steps and 14-day grace period as any other request. If we cannot match it to an account, the request is closed without deleting anything: email privacy@brandconnectai.com with your confirmation code and account email so we can find it. - The status link reports each stage of the request: received, verified, scheduled (in the grace period), in progress, completed, cancelled or rejected.
